Branching Ratio for O + H3 + Forming OH+ + H2 and H2O+ + H

چکیده

The gas-phase reaction of $\mathrm{O}+\mathrm{H}_3^+$ has two exothermic product channels, $\mathrm{OH}^+ +\mathrm{H}_2$ and $\mathrm{H}_2\mathrm{O}^+ +\mathrm{H}$. In the present study, we analyze experimental data from a merged-beams measurement to derive thermal rate coefficients resolved by channel for temperature range 10 1000 K. Published astrochemical models either ignore second or apply temperature-independent branching ratio 70% vs. 30% formation +\mathrm{H}$, respectively, which originates single point measured at 295 Our results are consistent with this point, but show that varies reaching 58% 42% We provide recommended channels cases, one where initial fine-structure population O$(^3P_J)$ reactant is in its $J=2$ ground state other it equilibrium.

Branching Ratio

The / e π ν π μν → → branching ratio provides unique access to physics beyond the Standard Model due to the extraordinary precision of its SM prediction and the potential for highly accurate measurements. The motivation and prospects for new measurements presently underway at PSI and TRIUMF will be discussed.

Reduced branching ratio for H → AA → 4 τ from A − η b mixing

Models with an extended Higgs sector, as the NMSSM, allow for scenarios where the Standard Model-like CP-even Higgs boson H decays dominantly as H → AA → 4 τ where A is a light CP-odd Higgs boson. Tight constraints on this scenario in the form of lower bounds on MH have recently been published by the ALEPH group. We show that, due to A − ηb mixing, the branching ratio H → AA → 4 τ is strongly r...
